Saudi delegation attended the Seminar of the Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM) of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly
The Seminar of the Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM) of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly took place in Rome on November 23-24. A saudi delegation headed by Dr Mohammed Al-Jifri, the Vice Spekear of the Majlis al Shoura, and accompanied by the Min. Pl. Faisal Al Kahtani, Chargè d'Affaires of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Rome, attended the above event.
More than 140 members of parliament from 40 countries attended the Seminar, including MPs of NATO Member States, associated Mediterranean countries, Gulf States and countries on the southern rim of the Mediterranean. In addition to NATO Member States, the following countries was also represented: Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland, Algeria, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, the Palestinian National Council, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Cyprus, the UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania and Yemen. The Seminar will also hear from academics and security experts specialising in the Mediterranean and Middle East, with particular reference to jihadi terrorism, as well as from experts on immigration affairs and the crises in Syria, Libya and the Middle East.
