18 Relief Trucks Provided by KSrelief Cross Al Wadiah Port Heading to Al Hudaydah

​ June 18, 2018. AL HUDAYDAH, YEMEN: Today, 18 relief trucks provided by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) crossed into Yemen through the Al Wadiah port carrying 361,462 kilograms of food aid to provide urgent assistance to the people of Al Hudaydah.   Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, the Supervisor General of KSrelief, announced in a press statement that this aid is part of the Kingdom’s extensive, ongoing commitment to stand by the people of Yemen, according to the generous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. Dr. Al Rabeeah clarified that the 18 trucks were carrying a total of 228,142 kilograms of food baskets and 133,320 kilograms of dates to provide nutritional support to residents of Al Hudaydah who are the most in need of urgent food aid.    The Supervisor General added that KSrelief will send another land convoy to Al Hudaydah next Wednesday, and that the center is also preparing to send additional food and shelter aid to the area via airlifts and sea bridges. Dr. Al Rabeeah stressed that the center is keen to urgently deliver, follow up and monitor aid for Al Hudaydah residents, and that KSrelief will work to accomplish these goals in cooperation with UN agencies, local partners and the legitimate government of Yemen.   Dr. Al Rabeeah called upon concerned UN agencies and other international humanitarian organizations to provide comprehensive relief aid to all governates of Yemen – particularly Al Hudaydah.   source: https://www.ksrelief.org/English/MediaCenter/Pages/NewsDetails.aspx?NewsID=1776
